The Power of Positive Thinking

The Power of Positive Thinking

Each of the journals in my store have a quote from a famous influencer in my life. In the journal that has the woodpecker, the front cover includes a challenge - Plan the Work, Work the Plan!
As a recovering WFM professional, this is what we do! And, as any WFMr will tell you, deviations from the plan are inevitable. This is what Cy Wakeman calls unpreferred reality.
Understanding that there will be unpreferred realities along the journey, and having a plan to go back to, is at the center of success for any contact center, software implementation, and any entrepreneurial endeavor. And so, the quote that I included at the back of the woodpecker journal is from Norman Vincent Peale's book, The Power of Positive Thinking that was first published in 1952. It reads:
I believe I am divinely guided.
I believe I will always take the right turn in the road.
I believe God will always make a way where there is no way.
These statements have become my affirmations and can be attributed to my success over the last 10 years. I hope that you will be encouraged to tackle whatever challenges God has given you.
We often talk about overcoming challenges, but I'd like to flip that and ask you to think about it as what is God calling you to? What task has He created for the unique gifts He has given you? The challenge is to recognize the work that you do for Him is in the day to day.
There is a new book coming out by Jordan Raynor. It's called The Sacredness of Secular Work. He is showing us how our secular day jobs matter for eternity. As part of his Launch team, I've received an early copy ahead of the January publication. I'll keep you updated on how you can get yours soon.
Let me know in the comments what is God calling you to? What is stopping you from answering the call?
