Where it all began

Welcome to my Paint Studio! I write by the window overlooking our yard where my husband has foiled the bears by installing a pulley system. It spans about 60 ft and is 20 ft off the ground. It allows us to keep the bird feeders inaccessible to the bears and raccoons.
We're surrounded by trees where many birds make their homes. Some for the season and some just passing through. We live along a major route of bird migration in the Northeast. We have a variety of backyard birds are a source of inspiration to create. The other animals that visit are such a blessing to observe, mostly.
We've seen squirrels and chickens buried by a fox under one of our trees once. Yikes! But we also have seen a baby deer try to engage a turkey in play. 🥰
I couldn't ask for a better view from which to paint! So here I am ...most days in the early morning ...and again when my day is done, chasing the dream of being a professional creative, who glorifies God and serves others.
I hope that you'll enjoy my paintings inspired by the view from my studio. This blog will serve to give you a little behind the scenes!
