Back to Basics

My brother came for a visit last weekend. Someone asked him, "can you believe what your sister is doing with her art?" To which he replied, "Absolutely, she's always been creative." 🥰 I love my brother.
It's so important to nurture young artists. Validation early on in any young person's life can be the difference between them going on to living a life of passion and fulfillment or, conversely, living a life full of doubt questioning their worth. Developing a positive mindset and a belief in the value of your own creativity is critical to success.
This is also true in the corporate world. As I tell my boss, my Entrepreneurial endeavors are part of my self development. Mindset is where they overlap so strongly that I often use what I'm learning in my business, to help my team get out of their comfort zones, so that they can drive innovation and become their best selves.
All that to say, I have been doubting lately. When that happens, it's time to go back to basics. For me, that means plugging in with my mentor, inputting positive media and allowing a mindset reset. A quick trip to the place I breathe best, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, restores perspective. Perception is reality so make sure your filters are set to protect your heart and mind.
Journaling my thoughts helps me determine which learnings I share, and which are more personal. I love that my work environment values when leaders show up as our authentic selves. Just as what I learn through Lisa's Paint Studio helps me lead my team, the leadership training I receive through my job helps me to be a better entrepreneur.
